Does anyone have any photo's info about the old St Anns Heath Primary school which I attended in the early 1960's. It was an old church school at the top of the hill.

What would be the response to a request for the return of the Romon Artefacts back to "Leptis Magna" where the Libyian's are recontructing the town which was found hidden under the sand, near where we lived in 1957 at Homs now Alkums, they are really doing wonderful work, they are putting cloumn's back togerther from hundreds of pieces, your pieces are not as they should be, very gray green not how the ought to be WHITE against a clear blue sky I have picturs taken in 1957 and in 2007. I just feel sad that what you have is not seen at its best, and what would be such a wonderful gift to help in the work to restore such a stunning place Ann

I used to live near Virginia Waters, and have been there many times. Its beautiful in the summer in the evenings. Its such a spiritual, magical and tranquil place. It feeds the soul and mind. Well done to all those who look after it.

Can anyone help me? I would like to contact Alan Barker, whose family lives/d in Virginia Water, or find information on his whereabouts. We were at college in Walsall between 1965-68 and trained to be teachers. He moved back to Virginia Water in 1968 to teach. We kept in touch for a while but I believe he later moved to the USA. After that I lost touch. Last weekend there was a mini college reunion and next year we are hoping to have a 40th reunion and are trying to contact ex-students. So if anyone can provide me with information regarding Alan, I would be most grateful.

If my information is correct, some years ago the ladies of Windlesham made a quilt with oak leaves and acorn motifs. It was featured in a magazine at that time and I had the cutting. I should be grateful if one of its makers would send me a picture and the story behind the quilt. I am a quilter myself and thought the block was beautiful even from the tiny cutting I had.

Hi, i am trying to find out if anyone has researched men and women of Virginia Water that were killed in the Second World War? I am researching aircraft crashes in Shropshire and one of the pilots that was killed was F/Lt Roy Harold Phillips (138663), RAFVR, aged 23. He was the Son of Harold Alexander and Marie Ethel Phillips, of Virginia Water, Surrey; husband of Marjorie Eileen Phillips.

I am wondering if anyone can help with any further information on this pilot? Perhaps somebody has researched war time casualties? I would be very grateful for any help. Many thanks, Tom

re question about Glenridge Farm. I also lived on the farm from 1964 -70 and have many happy memories of the childhood where I could roam free and ride horses. I also attended Christchurch school. I visited the spot also , only to find it desolate and run down. Glenridge Hotel was closed down in the mid sixties, the farmhouse was not livd in after about 1970 and I presume the community living in mobile homes also moved on due to lack of utilities.

I lived in Virginia Water when I was a little girl between 1958-63 on Glenridge Farm, Callow Hill and attended Christchurch Primary School. After all these years I recently visited the area to show my daughter where I had such freedom to roam throught he forest and ride horses, althought the spot where I used to live is now over run and desolate. Can anyone shed any light on to what happed? I think there was a farmers daughter called Penny on the site.
