Virginia Water Art Society
"a
Summer Exhibition"
(For Demonstrations, Diary events, Members Painting, Society News click here)
The Society meets monthly in the Community Hall, on the first Wednesday in the month at 7:.15 for 7:30 pm. Each month, except December, we have either a demonstration of painting or craft, or perhaps a talk on a Fine Arts subject. In December we hold our Annual General Meeting followed by a party for members. During the year, the Society organises outings to places of artistic, historical or architectural interest or to major exhibitions. We also hold occasional one-day workshops when members may paint together under the guidance of a tutor.
Each year the Society holds two events open to the public: firstly, a one day open-air exhibition on the green in front of the shops in Station Approach and, secondly, our Winter Exhibition in the Community Hall. At both of these there is an enormous variety of paintings and crafts on show, virtually all of which are available for purchase. There is something for everyone’s taste and prices will be found to be lower than for the equivalent work on offer in galleries.
